Class description:
The Pumpkin House can be worked as a pendant or as a non-wearable mini-sculpture or even as an extravagant ring top.
All participants with good experience in metal clay are welcome in this course. Anyone who loves fairytale imagery is in even better hands with this 3-day course. Inspiration for the pumpkin house can be obtained from Cinderella for example, or you can rely on your own intuition. The many technical challenges can and should also be tackled in a playful way.
The Pumpkin House is hollow with small windows, doors and even a chimney. Coils and squiggles of perennials and other plants, generally organic-inspired forms are featured; there are openwork areas so one can see inside the house. Despite the multitude of delicate details, the construction is robust and suitable for everyday use.
This course will inspire and surprise even very experienced metal clay artists.
